Coaching and Psychotherapy

In coaching, unlike the roaming parameters of psychotherapy, the clear focus is on the future.

However, the existential coach, like the existential therapist, also considers the biological and cultural frame.  Sometimes, the client needs little more than an organizing nudge to see things already there.  But many need to return, reaffirm or reconnect to a personal value system that wants to support a new direction or shift in attention.  The existential coach does not highlight one's potential in the glamour of promise, but remains grounded in the limits and creative declarations of the human condition.
